How hard can it be.....trying to sell a dining table

I have a 12' v8/10 seat dining table I no longer need, tbh it's too big for this house.

Bought from Arighi Bianchi, a high end home furnishing shop for what I can only describe as an obscene(imho)amount of money only 4 years ago.

Not one of my better buys although it did look stunning in my last dining room.

Can I sell it? No.
Well I can if I accept insulting offers.

Don't families eat at the table these days.

It's now sat in my garage.

Good luck in selling it ...it looks a nice table too

I've tried Gumtree, eBay, local media etc.
All I got were people making silly offers and some I doubt had a dining room big enough, sadly no reasonable offers.

I could've sold it for £400 5 times over, no way will I let it go for that.

Looks like a nice table but second hand stuff is only worth what is offered for it sadly. Well not sadly for those buying we have had beautiful wool carpets for £25 and my Welsh dresser which I love as only £15 I know the original owner paid nearly £300 for it as she nearly cried when we bought it

Move it back into the house, make room for it.
Give it a good polish and set it as if for dinner, then take pictures of it and try again through the regular channels.
In the garage with a layer of dust it will look like junk and command a junk price.

Tpin think you either need to keep it and use it or let it go for lower price than what you want unfortunately.....secondhand value isnt very high as Julie said...

If my neighbours don't want items we have, for which we have no further use, I put them on Freecycle so others can benefit from them.

It's only just gone in the garage, Malcolm .
I didn't take viewings of it in pieces in the garage
