Good News of Dog in Afghanistan

Just heard on the radio about a dog (I think called Bryn) who was befriended by our troups, that they are trying to raise money to bring back to the UK.

Apparently, they needed £4,000 and were just £1,000 short. People started contacting the radio station asking for the details to be able to contribute. Moments later the Presenter said that they had just received an instant donation of the required £1,000 from a lady who wished to remain anonymous.

Folk can be so wonderfully kind and generous.

Regards,

Sadly, plenty to depress, so this gives such an encouraging needed feeling that there are equally good things happening too!

Yes let's hear for the dog.
Never mind the soldiers who have been killed, maimed and badly injured. They don't matter so much as the dog who has been saved.

I think that's rather unfair VM, we all care very much about our brave soldiers and no doubt many of us here support the various charities who raise funds for our lads and lasses in Afghanistan.

Even my grandchildren's school has been collecting to fill shoe boxes to bring a little cheer to our troops this Christmas.

This is a lighthearted, heartwarming story of people's kindness to an animal which is not intended to suggest that we do not care as much about our brave troops.

Sorry I don't agree the £4000 could be much better spent, no animal is worth that amount of money imo!
