One thing that I am not sure about is what the track of this vehicle is because this was one of the points made years ago about the Africar that most roads had been rutted by lorries which were wider that Landrovers so that Landrovers had one wheel in the rut and the other on the top.Re: Flat Pack Truck
Back in the 1970's and 80's Vauxhall built trucks under the trade name of Bedford Trucks and at that time they were a major supplier to the British Army. Anyhow, they supplied large numbers of trucks World wide and many to all parts of Africa, these trucks were built in Dunstable and when complete they went to the Luton Vauxhall Plant where they were then taken apart (this was call Complete Knock Down or CKD) the parts were crated up and sent to Africa and of course other countries where they were rebuilt. There were several reasons for doing this such as the Truck in parts and crated up took up much less space and so transportation was also cheaper and I believe there were also taxation benefits for doing this.
