Changing Babies Nappy

Went for a drink in our local last night which was changed about a year ago to more of a restaurant than a pub unfortunately.

There was a family in there eating, 3 adults and 3 children including a baby and at that time of evening, I can do without any children in a pub to be honest, this was about 9 pm.

After they had finished eating the person that I presume was the father of this baby proceeded to change the babies nappy on the table where they had just been eating. There are perfectly adequate facilities for changing nappies in a special room but he was too lazy to get up and use that room.

We had that experience too in England in a local eatery. The mother quite happily plonked the baby on the table whilst people were eating and proceeded to change the nappy, it wasn't just wet either. We had just ordered our meal, we cancelled it and left.

I would have expected the staff at the pub to request that he used the baby changing facilities. It isn't very hygenic having a baby's nappy changed where people eat.

Luckily we had eaten earlier, in a much better class of pub actually, this was just a quiet drink after we had parked the car up and walked to the local.
I must admit it was tempting to point this out to the staff at the time but being as we had been for a day out I did not want to spoil the day with a scene and this family reminded me of the "Dingles", so they would have made a row.

I can understand that but I think I would have had a word with staff as I left even if it was just so they could swab down the area with disinfectant after the family left, could pass on a load of germs I've they don't.

that's disgusting. I doubt if I would ever go back there, not to eat anyway, as I would always be reminded of it.

Re: Changing Babies Nappy

That is disgusting and they should have been thrown out of the pub, never to return. Also, what is a baby still doing up at 9 pm?
Educate these parents before it's too late.
