We know our kids are going to leave us one day Swimmy, but I imagine it is much harder when they choose to go so far away, but try not to be sad.
I hope they both keep in touch often, so you know how their new lives are going. Will you be able to visit?
No doubt you will miss them greatly, but all you can do is wish them happiness and success, and know you have taught them how to look after themselves.
Perhaps it's time you found yourself a good lady to care about, it'll keep you out of mischief!

Hi
My injuries are such that longhaul is out of the question, my maximum flying time is five hours now, then a 24 hour stopover minimum.
That is when I am good, I have just managed to get myself injured again.
Stomping around with a leg brace on.
I would love to get myself a nice lady, but I am no great catch at the moment.
Your boy sounds a selfless person Gibbs and a credit to you try not to be too sad . We have to let them go .
When my son left home for good I felt bereft and cried for a week. It had been just the two of us since he was six years old.
I realised I would now be spending the rest of my life alone.
I worked night and day to fill the lonely hours and gradually adjusted to my new situation.
I hope you can do the same Gibbs and are able to find contentment in time..
