Blackpool Lights

Now I know Autumn and Winter are just around the corner!

The Blackpool lights were switched on last night by Robbie Williams. We went to Blackpool many years ago to see the lights, they were quite impressive then so I imagine they put on quite a show now.

If any member lives near or visits Blackpool in the coming months, I would love to see a photo of the famous lights if it was possible for you to take one.

Re: Blackpool Lights

As soon as lights are switched on you do know autumn/winter are on their way! Many years since I went through the lights-they say its best to go when its raining, apparently the colours show up better.

One of my Sisters usually goes with grandchildren, if she's going this year I'll ask her to take pics.....will then need your advice Mags on how to get them onto here!!!!!!!!

Re: Blackpool Lights

I used to take the kids to see the lights every year when we lived in Lancashire. We used to get the tram from the south shore to Bispham and walk back.
I thought they were great then but we have not been for over 20years so what they are like know I dont know but I suspect they are still great to look at walking from Bispham to the south shore.
