What Has life taught you?

The lessons I have learnt that have kept me sane.

1. Do not take life to seriously, live as you want to.

2. Keep a roof over your head and food in your belly and you will ail nothing.

3. Do not have credit cards, cash gets better discounts.

4. If in doubt do without.

5. Never trust anyone until they prove their trust.

6. Forget what others think of you it is your life to live as you want.

7. The grass is not always greener on the other side, be thankful for what you have.

8. Family is most important, strangers may not be there in your hour of need.

9. Save for retirement as if it was a bill to be payed in later life.

10. Never forget to tell the people who you love that you do.

11. It is a privilege to grow old, some do not get the chance.

12. Learn to accept Death it is part of living.

What a good list AB, I agree with everything in it.

I have also learnt that politeness and respect are two very important things in life.

Such a HUGE question to try and condense!

However .....

Feel Contentment
Count your Blessings
Have Compassion for others (both people and animals)
Be more ready to smile than frown
More ready to Listen (God gave us two ears and one mouth)

"Someone should do something about it"! (Try to consider what you might be able to do. Because if everyone were to say this, nothing would ever change)!

Here are mine:

1). I do not trust 'conventional wisdom.' It gets outdated faster than "new" computers.

2). Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs' list outlining 'rule number nine' has saved me more times than I care to admit.

3). Society will always disappoint you. Be prepared for it.

4). I should have retired earlier.

5). Some elements of shame and regret will always stay with you, like a harpoon you cannot dislodge. Accept it, and don't waste any further time ruminating about it.

6). Take a chance on seemingly self-destructive Quixotic journeys. Lost causes are the only thing worth fighting for.

7). Al Capone was right.

8). Latte' tastes better than it should.

9). WigWam socks and Harley boots fit so nicely that I'm usually happy all day.

10). While it is more productive to be feared rather than respected, I'm not sure it's worth the profit.

11). Time spent writing lists cools your latte.'

Good list. My Aunty always said 'all you need from life is a roof over your head, food to keep you going and warmth'.

Life has taught me to appreciate every day as it comes, appreciate what I've got, and try and cope with any situation that comes my way!

Things usually don't turn out as badly as you'd feared.

You are stronger than you think you are.

In the end, you have to depend on yourself, not others.

Breaking up is hard to do but you will live thru it and emerge stronger.

Living well is the best revenge.

Disappointments are part of life, getting through them is what counts.

It takes years to build up trust and only seconds to destroy it.

Life has taught me many things.

Friends one can chose-family you are born with

Yelling is not the best way to teach

Cricket balls seem to get harder and faster with age.

Some are too stupid to be hurt by a rapier sharp wit-so punch them and run.

And a sense of humour is like fine wine-it matures with age
