Are You Practical or Helpless?

Some folk seem naturally able and practical. Sorting out things that have broke, blown up or come with written instructions!

While others are left completely stumped and bemused!

I think I fall into a 'third category' ..... Hopeless!

Some things I can fix but anything that has to be assembled I'm a dead loss. A few Months ago the wife bought a wardrobe that needed assembling so I wished her luck and left her to it, about two hours later she shouted down the stairs, 'Jimmy, whats a screwdriver?'.

I am quite practical, have assembled many a flat pack, even have my own tool kit. I have even made a cupboard from scratch. I have undertaken some plumbing tasks too.

I don't know anything about cars though, I don't even change wheels now!

I gave up a few years ago. Once upon a time there was just a television-I could cope with that-plug it in.

Now every change could be a nightmare-programme the tv via the satellite and take the co-axial cable from the video player via your left foot into the scart lead????

Pay some bloke £25 to do it for me more like

I do all my own DIY jobs - painting, papering and have been known to take off both kitchenette door and bathroom door to saw a bit off the bottom of them - now you could get an elephant under them I hate cooking though!

I am quite practical....try and do most stuff myself, but will not touch anything electrical..don't have the knowledge!

I can do painting and wallpapering and will help OH out with other tasks ...... but I too draw the line at anything electrical
