War monger Blair regrets

The hunting ban.

This is in the Guardian’s report on Tony Blair’s new book.

He regrets the hunting sort-of ban, incidentally. He hadn’t understood how important it was to many people. Careless Tony; he should have known. But banning hunting is a class issue of great totemic importance for parts of the Labour tribe and he went along with it. Typical Tony in his early years: inexperienced, ill-read and eager to please.
In other words he didn’t let the truth get in the wayof his gut feelings. How many other decisions he took would have been different, if he’d properly researched the subject and also listened to those with alternative views?

He should have made it a proper ban - not a half arsed one!

I would happen to agree OG. Just wish in hindsight they made it so the nasties couldn't 'get around it' :-/

I think the Tories will bring back hunting, I can't say I am fussed either way.

All life is sacred and Foxes are no different.

Living the country is part of living with Foxes and people should protect their creatures from them or live with the consequencies.

No one should hunt down any of Gods creatures we are all part of this world that we live in and should learn to live with other creatures of this planet.

Killing for food to survive is what most wild creatures do, civilised!!! creatures tend to kill others for the fun of it.

As a parent, whether you are a Lion, Dog, Cat, Bird Human etc how would you like to find your young dead from being hunted?

If you have ever seen what devastation a fox can do to a hen coop, they need to be controlled either by shooting or hunting, imo.

On a free vote, fox hunting will never be made legal again. So it really doesn`t matter if Blair is trying to get back in with the shootin` & huntin` set does it?

Good point.

Shame Blair did not equate this to Iraq.

The hunting bill took over 800 hours of debate in Parliament, he then had to use the Parliament act to shaft it through.

The RAPE of Iraq took 20 hours of debate to sentence a Million humans to death.

Blair is living the consequences for the deaths of people.

Thats way he regreats the Hunting Bill.
