Beware Next Tuesday

Anyone else seen in the paper they are warning us about a 'Toxic Smog' coming for us on Tuesday next week?

The words were: "Toxic smog will blanket Britain as a plume of hot air sweeps in from the Continent.
Raised pollution levels will coincide with the warmest temperatures of the year as the mercury is expected to peak at 32 degrees (90 F) this Tuesday.
It has sparked warnings from health experts against exercising outdoors.
The plume of air will flood in from Spain, starting today.'

So what do you make of that then?

Re: Beware Next Tuesday

Sounds alarming
I shall hole up indoors ...no going outside for a ciggie break for me on Tuesday.

Re: Beware Next Tuesday

We have had such a warning before and asthmatics and chesty people were advised to stay indoors .

I don't like very hot weather so will stay out of the sun anyway.

The word 'Smog' takes me back to the days of smog back in the day where you went to school with a mask on, couldn't see in front of your face and your nostrils were black

It was meant to have been the warmest summer ever, the papers said.

No, neither do I Meg. I'm happy when its around 20 degrees, that'll do me nicely. When it starts pushing up past the mid 20's it starts getting too much for comfort.

Re: Beware Next Tuesday

I donīt know about smog but we have some red clouds around, full of sahara sand, so if we do get some rain, or rain drops it will be mucky rain.

Re: Beware Next Tuesday

Has anyone noticed the moon tonight? It's a funny shape here - and no it's not the wine looking at it either!
It's almost Oval here, like a big egg, instead of round.
Never seen that before.
Ooer.
