Virgin Installation

I had Virgin installed last Tuesday, and I've had
nothing but problems, can't get onto the Internet,
because they fixed me up for wireless, I had no idea
it would be a problem, but they did'nt install properly,
so the engineer is coming out tomorrow to sort it, but
I am going to tell him I don't want wireless, I'd rather have the
cable and at least that way I know I will always get on,
they also did'nt install the HD box properly neither, as I
got a message when I phoned them up, that my smart card
had run out or was going to, not good enough, they are
supposed to be engineers, not likely, so am not very
happy, wanted to keep my old phone number but BT
would'nt release it for 3 weeks, JOKE.
I hope this will be sorted tomorrow.

Re: Virgin Installation

The engineer called this afternoon, and has
decided to get me hardwired for the internet,
typical, he had no problems logging in, but my
speed is only 4mbps instead of 8 and it goes down to
1 which is not what I wanted, no one can tell me why
I can't get onto the internet, and I'm confused as the
engineer said the fibre optic cable stops in a road near
me, so what is he saying I won't get fibre optic or what,
god I wish I'd stayed where I was.

Re: Virgin Installation

I have decided to leave Virgin, I have been
treated like ****, the reason my computer
does'nt work online is because my D link,
is powered by my Modem, it does not have
a separate power source, I've also made the decision
to get rid of my computer, I don't need it, I can use
the ones at work, so will not be on here at home,
only at work in my break times, but may decide to
leave anyway, I don't use the computer only for
surfing the web and playing some browser games,
I have no friends who contact me via e-mail, so
it's just a waste of money, which can be saved.

Re: Virgin Installation

Have left Virgin and now back with BT, so
much happier, a colleague came and had
a look at what they had done, and could not believe
it, also fixed up my home hub as well, so now I can
always get online, maybe not the speed I wanted
from Virgin, but who cares, will not go back to Virgin
have also wrote a letter to the MD of Customer Services,
hope I get a reply, I did not mince my words either.
