I can´t say I had ever heard of this island, but it does look nice and very friendly. I think I would get very bored though living there.

Let the Americans go to Ireland they supposed the IRA long enough because they believed every Irish man was John Wayne in the quiet man .
Until of course the Boston marathon until they too knew what it was like to be blown up by cowards.

And the events of 9/11 made the Americans realise the true horrors of terrorism - the IRA funding dried up after that.

I was born in Ireland and it is such a beautiful country. It's just sad that the minority (the terrorists) have given it a bad name.
The trouble is, some people are small minded and think because you're Irish, you are linked to terrorism in some way!
I sometimes understand how good law abiding Muslims must feel!

Yes darlin' - Ireland is a beautiful country. Newry, Warren Point, Newcastle, Castle Wellan - all commonly referred to as 'Bandit country'. I've also visited Belfast and Dublin too - both have wonderful pubs where 'folk music' is performed on a regular basis - in Belfast Fibber Magee and in Dublin Gogharty's bar.
