Yes I agree... I'm well left of centre...

But please can someone share the view. ..

That it is sheer horror that is unfolding in the extreme right driven Republican Party of the USA?

Until I saw this orchestrated tele-media farce I would never have believed it possible. He can win. .. actually be President of the (majority)western world ..
And maybe because he's rich enough to buy enough people..

Democratic Party? Isn't it the Republican Party holding its convention at the moment that has just endorsed Donald Trump?

The Democratic Party convention isn't until next week.

Unless I have missed something.

Tempted to say that only the Yanks could have Trump as a viable candidate.

But then, Aus has just put a racist, right-wing, simpleton called Pauline Hanson into the Senate - along with a couple of her hangers-on - who could potentially wield enough 'balance of power' influence to foil the elected government .

People are losing faith in conventional politicians and they don't feel safe anymore. For every Action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Many countries in Europe are also on the brink of electing right wing leaders.

Two posts why I love this site.

Rhian, nothing wrong at all at being left of Centre.

A considerable number of intelligent, articulate people are.

OGF, you have hit the nail on the head.

Unless and until the Socialist Politicians go back to their old stance of looking after the workers and their genuine concerns there will be the drift to the Right.

I think the USA could easily sleep walk into a Trump Presidency .
I don't think Clinton is a credible candidate for many, she comes with too much baggage and the slick scripted speeches
that make people say 'we have heard it all before'.

It is certainly going to be an interesting election to watch in the gray days of November.

Quite so, and I think we can all guess why.
