Billy Connolly

I never liked him ever since he made that 'I wish they'd get on with it' remark to a live audience about the beheading of hostage Ken Biggley... He angered some of the audience so much that they walked out...

Many years later I read that he's got prostate cancer and parkinsons disease. There still seems to be a lot of life left in him though. I was browsing local events in my area and was amazed to see that he's coming to Nottingham arena with a live tour later this year.

Seems like he doesn't intend quietly fading away....

I have seen him live twice and I just PMSL. I used to think he was the funniest comedian but like a lot of other people , I have totally gone off his humour.

I picked him up in my cab once. He was with Pamela his missis. Every other word was a F word.
Tipped well though.

Yet I've watched him doing his own show and been crying with laughter. Yes he swears, a lot, but he is observant, and funny.

Carol, Although, l have laughed at some of his stuff, l have never really taken to him and l don't know why?!!

I like him. I watched the TV programs he made in Australia & other places, they were informative & he is funny, the swearing I can live with, it's him. He didn't swear in the actual programs just on stage.

One of the best observationists around.
I never get fed up of him, whether it be his documentaries or stand up routines.
I think he's fabulous.

What was interesting is that I saw him in Scotland where he spent the whole time taking the piss out of the English and I saw him in England where he spent the whole time taking the piss out of the Scots.
