Re: Social welfare cuts - the result!!!

Yesterday it was mentioned on the radio, that one of the results of the National Living Wage is, even with the ability to raise more revenue through council tax, is that it wont raise enough to pay for the NLW.

Hence its mentioned that Adult Social care will suffer with even more cuts and loss of personnel.

If you can't live a basic life the man says IMO and I'm sure I'm not alone I want him to have a good life the best he can. I don't see disability or an inability to work to be any reason he shouldn't be able to do that.

Lady I was helping to write letters and give lifts to job centre etc has finally given up living independently and moved on with her elderly mum, they are both trying to live of her pension now given up trying to go through the hoops they put in her way to get the help she needs.

But we can afford referendums and cars for cabinet ministers and council officials, big pensions for the same too

I hope this new PM will put a stop to the cuts, but she's Tory so I doubt it.

Just go along and ask or phone. You probably need to take id and a utility bill.
We seem to have some advertising NHS services in their windows now.

So much I don't understand here .
They came with no money four years ago .
Have trouble with housing.
( I presume they expected to be given free housing )
Don't know if they can get benefits -have they been living on air these last four years ?)
Does alcohol come in the food parcels ?
Continue to have children despite all these problems .
Why don't they go back to Slovakia ?

Found one so many are closed to the NHS.
I only wanted the hygienist anyway and that is private .
£44 a time .but I felt I needed to register somewhere in case of any emergency .
