Duvets

How often do you buy a new duvet?
Speaking for myself it is about every 5 years, after all they are covered by duvet covers .

Re: Duvets

About the same

I use a light-as-a-feather 'Nimbus' microfiber duvet only about 3Tog and find with repeated washing the fibers eventually clog together instead of being equally distributed.

Re: Duvets

Sorry I can't stand duvets, we have a sheet and a throwover or quilt cover.

Duvets always seem to slide off when you turn over and they are too hot for us.

The best thing on a cold night, is a lovely Candlewick Blanket. Do you remember them?

Re: Duvets

Annually a thin 4.5 tog, then oldest 4.5 becomes dog blanket in car. I use one duvet during summer and three together during winter.

Re: Duvets

I think all of mine are getting on a bit. It`s all part of the big plan,my nephews are rich enough. New kitchen, new carpets, new 3 piece, new beds and covers. By around next spring I might let folks in. Not that my will will be worth a lot-I`ve spent it

Are we allowed to use continental quilts now that we're out of the EU?

I had a beautiful candlewick bedspread. Lovely vibrant colours in lines. I gave it to a charity shop when duvets came in. Always regret parting with it.

I need a new duvet and was going to buy a new one from BHS now they're selling everything off. But they'd none left.
