The return of Duffy in Casualty
Was a mistake, IMO. She irritated me, as did Charlie, with his eyes wandering off into the distance on many occasions.To hear that the character will be a permanent fixture has filled me with dread. Cue more over acting from Duffy and more looking anywhere but at the person in front of him from Charlie and...oh dear, looks like I'll get fed up with it soon.
And if somebody had demanded, nay, bellowed 'I need...!!' at me, they would have got a 'what's the magic word, please?' from me.

I haven't watched Casualty for a few years now. If I remember rightly I got fed up with Charlie, eyes looking everywhere but on the person he was supposed to be talking to ! It is quite likely that it is an affliction to the actor, and he can do nothing about it. It still irritated me no end though. As far as Duffy was concerned, I had no feelings either way. Was it she and Charlie nearly got it together ?Anyway, I read that Duffy was only coming back very briefly, and it was not going to be a permanent return. I believe it is to mark the 1000th episode of Casualty !

Maybe Tony Hancock syndrome - he couldn't remember his lines so they had to be placed where he could read them during his show.
