A small victory

Hi

After a few weeks of problems with EE, a victory.

They eventually came out, got BT Openreach involved .

The engineer was very, very good.

He spent 4 hours here, sorted everything out.

The upgrade in the village had not gone without problems.

I got, free of charge, a new socket with a built in filter, a new line from the new fibre box and my download speed has gone from 6 to 20 Mps.

My upload speed has doubled.

Fantastic job by BT, unfortunately I was stuck with EE, a Government Contract.

Why the hell our Government did not stick with BT in the first place is beyond me.

EE is now part of BT, which is what we should have been supporting in the first place.

Every other EU Country puts it's own first.

Let us hope that this is a lesson we learn.

Good to hear. How are you? And when will you be back on the river?

Well done Gibbs

I wish they could do the same for the abysmal speed I have here (2mb) as does most of the village .

Hi

I will not be back on the River anytime soon.

Solely due to an NHS messup.

I cannot drive, cannot fly and I need to go daily to Hospital.

I will recover, that is the good thing.

I am still working, but from home, computer based.

If everything goes according to plan, I will be back in Poland and the Ukraine in six weeks

I officially finish on December 16th, but due to the present mess up, I have been offered a Consultancy,

I will be taking it, but at no cost to the UK taxpayer.

I will register here for tax and pay my way.

I will however, be making the most of the tax free fags.
