The end of an era
I have known the two ladies who cut my hair for over 20 years. This morning as I climbed the very steep stairs with knees that ache I said as a throw away jocular comment `If you do not get a chair lift I am getting a new hairdresser` Kim replies -`It could be`. She is closing her business. Maybe it`s just me but a lady who cuts my hair and trims the ears and eye brows becomes also a confidente.

Some on here only require ears, nose and eyebrows trimming.
At least you have enough hair to cut

I hate it when you find a good hairdresser and they end up closing! I've had two good shops close in recent years, that I used long term.My problem is I won't pay a fortune just for a dry haircut, preferring to pay around £10-12, so I now either use the wife of one of our committee members (but she may be retiring soon and may not want to continue), or I have found a shop at the top of our main road, who are also within that price range.
Men's barbers? There's loads of them around here!
