Caught in the Rain

These blessed storms! We've just had a right humdinger again.
I must say though, I was very impressed with Waitrose just now.
I stopped there quickly on my way home from the vets, just to run in and quickly grab some Lily's Kitchen for young Gertie.
While I was in there, the heavens opened and the rain soldiers were about a foot high! Thunder, lightning, the lot.
I stood in their front foyer for a while waiting for it to subside a little as I had no coat, but I was worried because I had left Gertie in the car and she might have woken up by then.
Then my knight in shining armour arrived.
Waitrose had various members of staff with raincoats and huge brollies outside, escorting people like me to their cars under their brollies.
How good was that. I was very grateful and very impressed. Good on you Waitrose.

It rained all night, started off a bit muggy but warm, by dinnertime sun came out, and its bliddy boiling now, I'm sat outside and the dog dosn't know where to put himself, not wasn't forecast I might add.

Great customer service! I was sheltering outside various shops and their canopies, Iceland, then the bus stop to wait for the bus, then the bus stop opposite home. I had to buy an umbrella in Wilko but as I was pushing my sholley I didn't want to christen it.

I too am getting fed up with this every day.

Re: Caught in the Rain

Well, I put seeds and seedlings in recently, so not sure if my perfect lines will end up as imperfect, and that crops could end up all over the place, therefore confusing me. If the heavy rain has displaced them.

'Now, is that a cabbage/turnip/carrot...etc...or a weed?'

All will be revealed in time - unless of course they have been washed away altogether.

Oh don't say that! Most are in the raised bed, so they'll be there somewhere.

Now, I need to water the stuff in the greenhouse, and ATM it's not raining. Do I chance a quick walk down there??

Re: Caught in the Rain

Tesco could learn a thing or two from Waitrose Mups, not only do you have to make a dash for your car, the car park is flooded so even when the rain stops you still get your feet wet.....
