Such Very Sad News
Alas, after a very short illness, my desktop computer has died. It has not been well lately as you would expect of a 50 year old machine (in dog years) but this morning the motherboard finally gave up and expired in a terminal blue screen.Despite expecting the worst for some time the shock of its passing has left me bereft. I have spent the day in a cloud of sadness transferring all my current files from the back up to my laptop so that life can stumble on in some semblance of normality .
All is not completely lost because some of the organs can be transplanted to a new machine when I can face the task of looking for a replacement.
This is not how I wanted to celebrate the birthday of her majesty the Queen of Australia, may god bless her with his noodly appendage, but sometimes you have to take the smooth with the crunchy. I shall put on a brave face and tablet on.
sad news indeed Bruce I hope you can find a replacement body for the organs and that they won't be rejected
