The Chindits with Joe Simpson

Watching Joe Simpson retrace his fathers wartime route as a Chindit in Burma ( now Myamar)
It was horrendous and the poor mules that they took with them how they must have suffered .
Each Chindit lost about three stone in weight on the trail .
They often left sick soldiers or shot them in the head so as not to leave them to the mercy of the Japanese.
