Streaking

Hi

Now I have got your attention, no, not me, my kitchen worktops.

For some baffling reason my worktops are full of streak marks after every time I wipe them down.

I bought some cif kitchen spray and it is a nightmare, more streaks than a zebra after cleaning.

I got a different cleaner today, same problem.

The streaks are some very shiny and some very dull.

The worktops are black corian, not Formica.

Any ideas , I know there are some experts on here.

Re: Streaking

I make my own spray, with detergent, water and a good squirt of ammonia mixed together in a reclaimed empty spray bottle....I make a few at a time, it's very effective and costs next to nothing.
I use it everywhere for cleaning.

Re: Streaking

Try wiping with a micro fibre cloth - see if that makes any difference.

Re: Streaking

Can't help, being man made, they may be permanently marked, I used some sort of cleaner on the porcelain tiles in the conservatory, ever since, when you look close, they have taken on a milky sheen.

Re: Streaking

Have you tried a lemon? Cut one in half and experiment on a small are first then wipe dry with a thick piece of paper towel.

Re: Streaking

I use industrial wipes for my work - can used to clean everything and can remove silicon sealer and paint. Kind on the hands and smells like that stuff you clean your hands with in hospitals.

This stuff in fact.

Re: Streaking

A window cleaner mixes one part hot water to one part distilled vinegar, and use a chamois like a window cleaner to get a streak free surface.
Cant see this not working, boiled mutton clothes make good polishing rags.

Re: Streaking

I'd have a word with the place you got them from or some other kitchen fitter/suppliers. Surely they will be able to help you.

Let us know.
