Love is Like a.

Butterfly, still not seeing many of these as its still relatively cool..

Speckled Wood.



Ringlet.



Small Blue.



Comma.



Peacock.



Red Admiral.



Northern Brown Argus.



There are a lot of Butterflies we dont get up here, i would have liked to see and photograph.

They really beautiful little things aren't they, I love to see them.
I think my favourites for colour and markings would have to be the Peacock and the Red Admiral though.
Sometimes I see a smallish pale sky blue one flitting about, they are pretty too.

We only get the Small Blue in numbers quite common, and we are on the edge of the Holly Blue which i have yet to see.

The colours can vary due too the fading effects of the sun on their wings.

Nice fresh Small Blue.

Ive got two Butterfly bushes in my garden to attract them , but only ever saw the Peacock and Tortoise shell on it .
The White Cabbage Butterfly comes fluttering through mainly to lay its eggs .

Always a challenge separate the Whites Eliza especially if they are flying.

I had a brimstone in my porch the other day, I got a photo but only with wings closed, I'll post it later.
Lot of cabbage whites about, I have a few peacock photos to post too when I fire up the old steampowered laptop later!
