Hello Pumicestone! (hope you are all-well now)

Please tell us: If you could live any where in the world, where it would be? And why?

Thank you, Pummy from Gia

Re: Pumicestone in the hot seat.

OK folks, the timing of my elevation to the Hotseat could hardly be worse.

My mother (97yo - with dementia) is in 'aged care'.
(There is a horrible family battle going on about her property and affairs),
My only brother has today been diagnosed with terminal bowel cancer
and I have just been told that I have (yet another) cancer problem.

To make matters worse, the combination of these things is creating financial stress.
I regale you with all this only to hope that you will forgive me if I do not take full advantage of this "Let's talk about ME" focus
in which I would normally revel with glee !

Believe me, I can talk about ME until hell freezes over

Re: Pumicestone in the hot seat.

So sorry to hear that, Pumicestone. Perhaps you can step down and Carol can get someone else to take the hot seat.
Best wishes to you and your family.

Thanks for that, Chimp.
But if people are prepared to be a little patient and accept that I might sometimes be a bit slow in responding, I would really like to 'carry on'.

Nutshell history - which might allay a few questions.

Born 25th October 1945 Maryborough, Queensland, Australia.
Family moved to Brisbane 1955.
Started work at Prudential Assurance Company at age 16 - then worked in Debt Collection (briefly), Retail, Music Industry (20 years), local politics, the Tax Office (13 years) ...

From first wife, I have two sons, and two grand-sprogs.
Currently wed to Jeanne with whom we have two sons.

Religion ... agnostic.
