Washing lines.

I leave my plastic coated washing lines out all the time. I admit they do make the garden look a mess.
My friend, on the other hand has a rope line and puts it out every time she washes and then takes it back in again.

A mundane subject I know but I wondered what other people do?

Re: Washing lines.

Now I am in a grotty little flat, having worked hard all my life, my washing line is over the bath.

Good quality spinner that isn't affected by the rain. Spends most of its time folded up.

Re: Washing lines.

I have a rotary line which stays up most of the time. I wipe it over before hanging washing.

Re: Washing lines.

What you need is a retractable clothes line. all the benefits of a proper washing line and it retracts back into its little case when not in use so the garden doesn't look messy.

I've had them for years and currently have a double one so have two lines if I need them.

Re: Washing lines.

I have a double retractable line. Rarely need to use both lines, but it is handy on occasion.

Carol, This thread is a joke...isn't it?!!

Having said that, I do love to see washing blow on the line, though!

Re: Washing lines.

Years ago my Mother use to take her plastic line in from the top garden next to the house, and leave the line out in the sunken garden? Strange but true

I have a plastic line that stays out all weathers, i wipe it down occasionally...
