Looks lovely and peaceful Doc. What a perfect day for a walk like that.

In fact, I did the same today, and took the dogs across the fields to the river.
We were totally alone and the sun was so warm and all I could hear were the birds signing, and some geese honking on another stretch of water in the distance - paradise.

I took some pictures which I will try and get off my camera tomorrow and show you. Just after I had taken the last one, my Izzy fell in the river but I managed to hook her out again. It just meant I then had a smelly wet dog to take home in my car!
