Work-shy William

In an interview with Nicholas Witchell (not the Royal's favourite correspondent), Prince William said that he was putting his family first rather than letting his 'duties' take up too much of his time.

Yes, I agree William, sometimes our duties do get in the way of us enjoying ourselves - it's known as having to work for a living.

He also said a lot more that actually made a lot of sense I think we have an excellent young man who is well aware duty is very much in his life and in his future and reading between the lines he doesn't want to repeat the mistakes his father made waiting to inherit the title all these years, so he is working (air ambulance ) and being best dad he can and doing some royal duties too, all he isn't doing is putting those duties above his young family which IMO is healthy.

He will be damned if he does and damned if he does not. I would not want to be in his shoes with all the intense scrutiny that comes with being born ' privileged.'

Well I would suggest they take it up with their management instead of gossiping about a colleague.

Hi

Leave him alone, he will one day be King, not a job I would wish on anyone.

I so wish now that I had been in the position of spending time when I was younger with my kids.

I agree Julie, and I think that all royals should have some time to be ordinary people. Princess Anne works very hard but she was determined to make sure her family wasn't permanently on display, so why should the others. Both William and his wife recently visited China and, despite the fact that many view that as a holiday, it certainly wouldn't have been. He went there to foster a good relationship with China and it would have been an organized visit, so not doing what they chose to do. For all who complain about them, I would like to see them live a royal life for a year, and then ask how easy they thought it was
