Doing a runner

Outside our place this morning a guy run into the back of another at speed, and blow me down he just walked off.
The lady driver in the front car suffered whiplash and was taken to hospital for a check up.
Turns out the guy was not taxed and was on a sorn notice.
I think that doing a runner after an accident should mean an automatic ban for the driver, what say you?

Yes absolutely, especially as they were driving illegally.

Nah, they should be hung, drawn, and quartered at the city gates.
If the car had a sorn, it might not be easy to find the owner or driver. No wonder they did a runner.

A lifetime driving ban would be in order.

Here in Florida we call them.. hit and run... It happens a lot. Mostly because they are undocomented immigrants who don't have a license.

And has Cameron not just made it now illegal to claim for "Whiplash" injury??

No, how can an injury be illegal?

The MP Select Committee crack down now requires proof of whiplash injuries.

Because of the fairly low payout per injury it wasn't worth insurance companies arguing the toss so they paid out with little resistance
