Hello all

Just a line to let you all know I'm still alive . . . I have not shuffled off this mortal coil just yet.

Been helluva busy the last few weeks stripping . . . stripping a Jeep the same as Barbie in a scrap yard . . . I've completed the stripdown and all the parts are in my hut and garage . . . including the complete engine/gearbox and chassis . . . I even removed all the interior including the whole dash and instrument panels . . . the back axle complete with leaf springs was a joy to lift and I also took both roofs as spares too.

I think the guy was gobsmacked at what I left him . . . in the beginning 3 weeks ago I offered him a price for the whole motor which he accepted . . . methinks he thought I only wanted was the engine and transmission . . . needless to say he did not have much left to crush up in the bailer . . . the only thing I couldn't remove was the bodyshell because DVLA had been notified the motor had been scrapped.

I can proudly say I am now a true friend of the planet . . . . my middle name is now recycler.

Good to see you back, Nero....... was getting a bit worried by your absence but now relieved to know all is well with you!

I should have guessed there was a motor involved somewhere!
