A Happy Easter Sunday in Spain
Weīve had a really lovely day. Lunch out with friends and neighbours, it was quite funny as everyone turned up with Easter eggs, chocolate chickens and rabbits for everyone else. It was especially good for Robin, the 56 year old son of friends. Robin is very severely mentally disabled, he has only 10% eye sight and cannot speak. He has been poorly and today was his first time out for 2 weeks, he was so excited as everyone had brought him Easter presents. No chocolate for Robin as he is diabetic, he got a chicken on a spring, some fluffy rabbits, balloons, which he loves, some cuddles with ChoCho, he loves her and is very gentle with her. Robin was spoilt by everyone today. It really was a lovely time.We got home thinking we would have a nice quiet night, no chance, more visitors tonight, but no problem, itīs always nice to see friends. I hope everyone else has had a nice Easter Sunday.

Thank you Pesta and Mags. The majority of our mixed nationality neighbours are very nice Mags and we all help each other out where we can and when possible (apart from the English neighbours on one side of us, theyīve fallen out with everyone and I simply donīt speak to them any more, it isnīt worth the effort). It was nice to see Robin so happy and excited, heīs been poorly with a kidney stone. His mum and dad are amazing, their lives revolve around Robin, no easy task for them, dad is 84 and mum 76, although she doesnīt look it. Evidently when Robin was born the doctors said he wouldnīt live to be a year old, heīs now 56 ! Dad is a retired doctor, mum was a nurse, so at least they have the medical knowledge to deal with Robin. It was just so nice that everyone just accepted Robin for himself and nobody ignored him.
