Anger At The National Lottery!

I don't do the Lottery but I would be a bit miffed at receiving only £15 for getting five numbers this week! Yet, if you got three numbers you got £25! Years ago, you were assured of a decent amount for five numbers
What's going on? Do you do the lottery and are you annoyed?

Would have preferred Branson to Camelot, seems to be a ripoff.

It is now a rip off, I used to do it, but finished when they made it up to 59 numbers, I now do the health lottery.

Always been a rip off, just another tax.

Usually say this when this subject comes up, at 49 numbers we had Zero, Zilch, Zippo chance of winning, at 59 numbers we've got even less chance.

That would make me cross! I don't play it anymore, but may do the Health Lottery one day.

It is all a farce. The odds are not as good as putting a couple of quid on a dog or a horse.

Re: Anger At The National Lottery!

I used to have a couple of lines a week until they put it up to two quid a go then I just had one, but then I gave it up altogether when they added more numbers. They used to say it was a tax on the stupid and now I belive it...

One more reason not to do them, although occasionally I do buy a euro ticket.

Re: Anger At The National Lottery!

So why didn't someone at Camelot have the common sense to divert a million off the Jackpot Prize, (as it wasn't won) and share it amongst those with 5 balls, giving a payout of approx £ 265 , still very low for 5 balls but avoiding this clearly nonsensical situation of people with less matches getting higher prizes....
