Well, taxi arrived at 0400hrs so off I set for the airport.Arrived and went straight through to departure lounge.
This ticketless system is brilliant, you can put your boarding passes onto your smart phone so no printing off, just place your phone face down on the scanner and you're through.
Security confiscated my shower gel and aerosol deodorant as they were too big(50ml over)
I avoided spending money at the shops, the route to the departure lounge weaves through the shops so no avoiding temptation. Hugo Boss, Timberland, Fat Face were calling my name but I got through without battering my credit card.
I thought I'd start off the way I intend to carry on so ordered a pint of Carling.......£4.70.......I nearly fell over
It looks like the French air traffic strike won't upset my travel plans as so far we're on time.
Gonna sit and enjoy my beer and possibly one more

Interesting is a very subjective thing.
I am off back to work, it was supposed to be Friday, but now leaving Thursday.
I am not a Happy Womble, Harrogate Thursday, then flying to Poland Friday for 4 days fishing, taking my holidays first, then heading further East for a while.
It will be certainly interesting .
I hope to be back in the UK for Boozers Liverpool do, but who knows?
Roll on December, I will be out of it for good.
My full Pension kicks in then, so fishing, fishing and fishing.
Heaven.
Only three things left on my Bucket List.
A sturgeon, a sailfish and and a night with Nicole Kidman.
Two out of three will do.
