Good morning all, dull again here and no frost thankfully, although there is still little cheer in the forecast.
I have a few odd jobs to do today including concreting a new step to the greenhouse so I'm hoping it doesn't rain for a while.

Good morning all.Nothing much planned, cept for popping down to the allotment while the trading shed opens, have a chat with people maybe, and take photos of the new beds to email to the allotments office.
I was shocked at the state of them yesterday. Poorly constructed, rubbish chucked in, two paving slabs rocking on the path near me, so I guess the digger has done some damage there, and just generally looking messy. I'm pretty sure the new beds are lower than before, which could cause a problem.
I stood gazing around me feeling quite depressed. They've scooped up all the old compost and started to refill the beds, and by the way they've levelled off the third quantity in mine, at the top end, looks like they're not leaving room for the stuff I've taken out to store. At the bottom were pieces of string, rubbish and grassy clumps. I don't want that crap in my bed!
They've finished off the one next to me so he can start using it straight away, but they are waiting for a new delivery of compost to finish off the rest of us.
Our AO did say 14 days...
