Paul Daniels

It has just been announced that Paul Daniels has died, aged 77, after being diagnosed with a brain tumour in February.

Very sad to hear that.
He was not everyone's favourite I know, but I liked him, he was a brilliant magician and the world of entertainment has lost a great talent.

He was once at the top of his profession, and drew the biggest TV audiences. His unique talents as a magician a comedy twist were comparable with Tommy Cooper.

I always liked Paul and couldn't understand why he was frequently ridiculed by some.
Like Malcolm I found him to be a brilliant magician and entertainer .

As Paul was diagnosed with his condition fairly recently it is to be hoped he didn't have to cope with a lot of pain..

Very sad news, but after hearing that he had a brain tumour, it wasn't unexpected, although it happened sooner than thought. RIP Paul, one of the few in show business with high ideals.

Yes, I too heard this just now on the news. Perhaps it was a blessing in a way, that he seemed to go so swiftly.

I don't think I ever heard Paul swear or make smutty remarks, he didn't need them. There aren't many entertainers of whom that could be said .

I also didn't expect it to happen so soon either!
He was a brilliant and convincing magician who was a breath of fresh air when he first came on television. (I've just thought, you could never get a magician on the radio!)
