Car Insurance

My quote came in at £100 more than last year yet nothing has changed!

Anyone else notice an increase?

Anyone managed to get a saving? If so which company are you with

Re: Car Insurance

It seems that we have to change insurers every year if we wish to avoid these annual hikes (though I think the bad winter, following the previous bad winter, has increased everyone's premium a bit) It's the same with house insurance. Not so with the pets' health plans though, as far as I can remember
I hate to say it - but look at one of the comparison websites, (seemples! or confused.com etc) plus try Direct Line and you will see a huge range of quotes - and I bet you'll find one cheaper than last year

Re: Car Insurance

Just looked at them, confused.c, gocompare and moneysupermarket - all of them higher than last year and none of them below £185

Interestingly, I saw an advert for an insurance site on google, and it said 'quotes starting from as little as £184' - so I wonder if the insurance companies got together and decided on a minimum cost for the year!! Wouldn't surprise me :-/

Re: Car Insurance

We changed insurers this year and received a better quote.

Try Swinton Insurance and see what they can come up with, Azz ....

Re: Car Insurance

They were listed in one of the compare sites Mags - same rate as my renewal from Admiral.

Looks like the cheapest is £185, or, I could spend a little extra and go with M&S for £200

Re: Car Insurance

I was with Saga up until this year, but they came in £90 dearer for this years premium, so I had a chat with a friendly meerkat who lopped £75 off Saga's quote with CIS. Still dearer than last year mind...

Re: Car Insurance

There are various car insurance companies which give the best saving and services. I always go through the NFS, they are great with the excellent values regarding the rural customers. They provide the quality insurance to the cars.
