Eddie Izzard. What a guy.

7 years ago Eddie Izzard did a charity run, not any normal run, nope.

He ran 47 marathons in 53 days, a brilliant effort that raised hundreds of thousand £'s.

Now he is more than halfway through another magnificent challenge, at the age of 54 he is doing 27 marathons in 27 days through South Africa.

What a great bloke.

I understand he has failed this challenge once, so he is now trying again. I have seen him on Breakfast where they tell you about all the pain he is going through and you can't help but admire him. I am hoping that he manages to complete the challenge this time, because i really don't want him to have to try again... and I think he would!

what does this have to do with his charity attempts?

Not many comedians would try to do their stage act in the language of the country they're performing in.

I'm with you Tpin. A very funny man but added to that a real go getter when it comes to fund raising. I only hope he does'nt do himself severe damage in this incredible challenge he's set himself.

What a challenge Eddie Izzard has set himself, he has my respect and admiration for this charity attempt.
