Would you beg. ?

Couple of stories in the media lately got me thinking. If you lost everything and were forced to live on the streets. Would you beg to stay alive.?

I'll let you know when the time comes. I don't know right now.

Re: Would you beg. ?

Having seen how well the beggars here do, yes I think I probably would.
I´m amazed at the number of people I see giving money to the beggars who sit outside the supermarkets and the many people who give them the coin, either 50 cents or 1 euro from the trolley, they can make E100 and probably much more each day.

I'd probably rather beg than steal.

Why? Things aren't that bad are they Nom? You know we'd never let you starve.

Let's turn this around.....If you, Nom, saw me in the street begging, would you cross to the other side?

Well I wouldn't, Plopsy dear. I'd take you home and make you all better.

Re: Would you beg. ?

As ten year old kids we used to stand outside public conveniences and 'beg' a penny from passing strangers, who always coughed up when they witnessed our crossed legs routine.
When we had conned enough pennies we would go to the cinema and spend em !
