Yet again we're demonstrating our complete control of the western world and are sending a gun boat to turn back the tide of refugees.

It's about time! Why is it that when refugees are rescued from the sea they are taken to Italy or Greece? Why are they not returned to their place of departure?

Ahhhh but that would involve ammunition, and whilst they have the guns per se, we haven't got the money to actually buy the ammunition for them.

Good question .
But seeing as the point of departure is often Turkey would we risk out boats there and would they allow refugees back in again?
Remember these are devious untrustworthy people who basically are supporting ISIS .Maybe it's their intention to make things uncomfortable for refugees so they will move on and flood Europe ?

I do wish that people would stop calling them all refugees.

They are a mixture of refugees, rich ones who can afford to pay the people smugglers and Economic Migrants, many of whom are not from Syria.

I understood the boat has been deployed to help clamp down on people trafficers and help to save the lives of drowning refugees, and not as your assertion to demonstrate our naval power as in times past.

If Labour had their way we would be sending out canoes as all our warships would be scrapped
