Re: A very... (Mothers Day)
This reminded me of an incident last year when I won a box of chocolates in a raffle. I am diabetic so couldn't eat them myself, so I gave them to the little boy whose mum often keeps her horses at my place... he was 5. I said "Take those to mum and say happy mothers day" he replied " but it isn't mothers day today". I said " What! you mean she is only your mum on one day a year?". He smiled and took the chocolates to his mum and when I spoke to her she said he came home and said " Mum, Diane said that you are my mum every day so I can bring you presents any day". She told me that she appreciated the chocolates but her greatest joy was that her son had said "thanks for being my mum" on a day other than Mothers day..... after all he could have kept them for himself.Re: A very... Thanks EZ. I´m far away from my son but I got a card and present in the post. Nice story Twink, it reminds me of a box of chocolates my son got for me for birthday years ago. I was presented with the chocolates, bottom layer only, he´d eaten the top layer
