Bath Or Shower?

I prefer soaking and relaxing in a bath, using Dove soap.
The thought of a shower makes me shiver with cold and I don't think you can wash yourself properly in a shower!
Which do you prefer.. Bath or Shower? Which soap or shower gel do you prefer?

Re: Bath Or Shower?

I love a bath! Sadly my little bathroom only has a walk in shower so I've got no choice!
I like to use Imperial Leather shower foam (blue one) Bracing Bergamot and Sea Minerals, it smells nice and fresh!

I never have a bath ... I'm on a water meter !!!! I would love a long soak in a nice warm bath though but getting in and out would be a problem

I only ever have a shower using Imperial Leather soap

Re: Bath Or Shower?

For me Art it depends totally on the time of day.
A shower in the morning to wake up! So all the better if I shiver a bit!!!
Evening time I'd take a bath... candles even sometimes... a glass of wine too if I'm in total de-stress mode!
I don't stick to one gel or soap, whatever is on offer suits just fine but I will moisturise completely, afterwards.
Oh now I'm looking forward to my soak...not going anywhere....looks like I'll be picking up a bottle of pink fizz on the way home...bliss

Shower, because I hated sitting in my own dirty water. We no longer have a bath, so no choice now anyway. I would love a wetroom, but got a walk in shower instead.

Re: Bath Or Shower?

I prefer soaking in a hot bath but unfortunately because I've added on the pounds have trouble getting out again! I have to turn on to my front and raise myself from my elbows. Even looked into the idea of a bath riser gadget.

Mostly I just run an inch or so of water in the bath, kneel in it and flannel some shower gel over me, then use a jug to scoop up the warm water to rinse. Showers make me cold: my present one just draws hot water from the tank and on a cold day it can cool down quite quickly.

It's in a bath where you can't wash properly since you are lying in dirty water. In a shower your turn it off to wash yourself and turn it back on to rinse away the soap suds...........simples !

Re: Bath Or Shower?

Thank goodness I have a basic shower as my heating system is dead,no heat and no hot water. It`s been 15 days now and the plumber cannot start until March 21st. Much prefer a bath.

I haven't had a bath for twenty years...I shower and I use Droyt's glycerine soap...relatively expensive but worth every penny.
