Destruction of the Jungle in Calais

French police are destroying the camp known as the Jungle .
The are moving people away form the border point .
What do you think action at last?

Nothing to do with helping us in the UK.

All to do with the aftermath of the Paris Attacks and the Belgians closing their Borders.

It was still rough in Calais Sunday and yesterday.

They should move on peacefully, sounds like its a better option for them, but I heard the reason that they don't want to move, is because they would have to claim asylum in France and they want to come here

That's correct Patsy, they see more substantial accommodation as a step towards French Citizenship.

We are - just wish they would do things correctly and not cause so many problems, makes helping them a difficult task

I agree with you there, I do wonder what some would have said when the Jews were leaving Germany and France all those years ago happily we seemed to be more humane back then and helped them.

Its getting harder to be tolerant with them though
Breaking into trucks using violence
Destroying the contents within the trucks
Costing an absolute fortune because of their actions
They will get here 'at all costs' it seems - hardly fair to the people of this country

I think people have been very humane
They certainly get a lot of assistance from volunteers too in Calais
Its the way migrants behave that is dwindling the sympathy vote
