Power outage, aaarhg!!

The whole neighborhood lost power in the t'storms today, just at 2:30 when I was about to log on! And not back till after 8 pm! No proper dinner and not even able to boil water for my tea! Bah!

It's awful when something like that happens, DM. Happened here where I live, only off for a couple of minutes but I lost the letter I was typing on pc!! Then about half an hour later,it happened again. No apology was made by Scottish Power either!

Know how you feel Eileen, we have had a whole series of power cuts here of late not sure why.

The other night it went off as I was getting ready for bed, have you ever tried putting toothpaste on a brush in the dark

Not in the dark, Meg, but by candlelight, yes! I have a couple of old fashioned chambersticks which I can carry around to try to cope with the darkness!

It just goes to show how reliant we are on electricity. Would it be great if we all generated our own? Microgeneration should be the big push of the next couple of decades. Glad you are back Eileen.
