Life outside the forum ?

Just been pulled up in another thread for not instantly answering a question, I have a life outside the forum, just wondered if that's strange ?

I feel sorry for people who seem to post on forums 24/7, it is sad they have nothing better to do. My computer goes off about 6pm and is not switched on again until after 8am the next day, unless I am expecting an important e-mail.

I go on-line on and off throughout the day, playing on forums is a displacement activity, a bit of downtime from the much more important things I have to do each day. I wouldn't have withdrawal symptoms if any of the forums on which I post were no more.

Not strange at all, Julie! As much as I'd like to be on here all day, real life gets in the way!

How odd that you were pulled up over something like that. Don't worry about it: you come on here and answer posts when and as you see fit.

Can't say I will lose sleep over it jazz is just found it funny my dogs needed a walk and they come first.

Aww patsy I do feel for you I know some people genuinely only have the forum but I just found it odd the poster imagined we were all like that. I still walk the dogs, work and will be going away for the next 32 weekends so can't be here 24/7

Since I got t'internet on my phone I can access this forum and FB whenever I have a spare mo in between walking dog, chasing beards and plumping up me bustle!
Not sure it's a good thing though, stops the urge to do housework (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it)
For all you folk know I could be "otherwise engaged" right now!!

Real life comes first with me, and if I can't find time to come online for a few days....so be it.

You do post a quite lot Julie - ( except when you had the hump ) - yes i know i do too - its darn disgraceful and time wasting !

I expect the person sort of expected you to be there
