Dinner guest

If you could invite one famous person from the past to dinner..
Who would you choose and why?

Re: Dinner guest

Margaret Thatcher because I liked her and admired her strength.

Re: Dinner guest

Mine would have to be Leonardo da Vinci
I'd point out what was wrong with his helicopter plans over dinner and then I'd ask him to paint me!

Jesus, to see if the guy was anything like the way the gospels portray him, and what he thinks about some of the things said and done in his name!

Re: Dinner guest

Chopin. I'd ask him to play his music for me all evening in return for his dinner.

Re: Dinner guest

My choice would be.....Sir Robin Day.
I just loved him. I loved his abrasive interviewing style and forthright views. He could sort out the politicians he interviewed!
As my dinner guest, I would be enthralled and mesmerised as he related his life story and his memories of his days as a political broadcaster and interviewer!
