Are You Broad Or Narrow (minded) ?

Minded...that is, not width!!

Do you scorn when you hear rude or smutty jokes, littered with swear words? Or, are you the one telling them?

An example....You hear one of your teenage relatives or friends has gone to live with an ex porn star, who is still married, much older than them and they're expecting a baby. Would you be disgusted or happy for them?

So what are you generally, broad minded or narrow minded?

Both.

I'm very broadminded, generally. Nothing much embarrasses or shocks me.
But, when it comes to my kids I can be a little narrowminded, I hate to see them too drunk, I'm dead against drugs and too protective sometimes, I need to chill

I don't mind rude but I don't like crude ! No matter what people have done in the past, people can reform so judge them on the present.

Broad minded but not crude or filthy.
I dont mind a rude joke and Im not against nudity I just dont like the nasty sneering type of humour which isnt funny at all its just low.

I dont care if people are gay /straight/ bi/ trans or a mix I do mind if people use it as a weapon to be bandided about as some sort of reason for them to be considered for extra privalige or status. Loving someone shouldnt be a status symbol.

Not too sure. I like to think that I am broad minded. But I do detest the foul language that seems commonplace among a lot of younger people. I find it unnecessary and offensive.
I don't mind rude but not crude jokes.
People's choice of sexual partners don't bother me in the least, as long as people are happy.
However. Not too sure I would be willing to accept, with open arms the teenage family member scenario. On the other hand if it was a friend, then I think I would be more than a little amused, considering that all my friends both male and female are my age

Depends on who's company I'm in. With the boys at work, I have sworn, told and laughed at 'crude' jokes. This stops in mixed company though. Never suggestive either. A bit old-fashioned in that way suppose.

With the ex-porn star example, I'd accept it even if not understanding why the friend or relative would do it. Attractions can never have any rules I suppose and I'd be being a bit hypocritical to disapprove of what others do.

Hopefully we have all been different things at different times of our lives (outwardly at least) provided what's inside has had consistent standards, that you never lose sight of, that's probably all that matters, based on that, it don't really matter what others do.

I also don't like 'jokes' that feel the need to use the F word and other foul language to be funny. It makes me cringe.

Mrs Browns Boys is a good example - It would be funnier without the foul language.

I would say if my teenage relative was of the legal age then let them get on with it. They might learn a thing or two!!
