Re: Your favourite decade

The music! And people were questioning the rigidity and conformity of the 50s (remember the song "Little Boxes"?)

Re: Your favourite decade

The late 50's were the best for me . . . I left school in that decade and started my apprenticeship.

Re: Your favourite decade

I am torn between the 50's and 60's.

60's for the music although some great music has come thoughtout most decades up to the 90's.

50's because that was when things were getting better after the war but mostly because that was when I met my lovely wife who I would be lost without.

Re: Your favourite decade

I have put 60's as I was a young carefree child with no worries then.
I did love the music of the 70's best though

Re: Your favourite decade

It seems the 60s are the favourite so far. Dare I say I chose the 70s because of disco and I left home and became 'independent' (I'll get my coat).

Re: Your favourite decade

I voted 60's, although 70's was good too! I was a bit young in the 50's

Re: Your favourite decade

Mine is the first half of the 60s.

Think Mandy Rice Davis second famous quote sums it up very well.

"My life is a decline into respectabilty"
