Due to the high temperatures, the weather report has been cancelled, no sweat.

Re: Getting warmer

You must be joking!

It seems to me that for the past few weeks we have had rain after endless miserable rain
It rained heavily on Saturday and yesterday morning (Sunday), with a brief easing off in the afternoon when I scooted out to the local shops for bread & milk, and this morning it's persisting down again

And as for getting warmer, well, the thermometer might say it has gone up a degree or two, but it still feels pretty damn cold to me

I know we're all in the same position, but I'm getting really fed up with this almost continual rain, and I shall be glad when it eases up a bit.
What makes it worse is that we don't seem to have had any of those cold, clear, dry, frosty days. Even if they are actually colder, they don't seem as bad.

Well, look on the bright side, Zulu. Oh sorry, I shouldn't have said that, not knowing whether there is one about the weather where you are.

Re: Getting warmer

Hi Alan, re the weather, it hit 42c here today & more to follow, gardening is out of the question at the moment, I even have had to put something on my usually bare feet when I go out in the garden etc, Patricia my good lady can't wait for it to cool down. Gave the air conditioner a run today, normally our house being open plan design is a very cool house & we seldom have to put it on, but being double brick & tile house they are prone to staying hot for a while until the bricks cool down. The forecast for the rest of the week is more of the same.I remember in the early days we used to put the babies crib in the bathroom sat in the empty bath, this was usually the coolest room in the house. No such things as air conditioner's in those days, just a couple of fans going in the living area's.
best of luck with your weather, Simmo
