It was a toad (or frog - I don't know) and I have no idea what kind - I think I will name it the common allotment frog if I can't find out . He was about 2 inches long, so not that big.

Toads usually live more on land and frogs in water, thus said its very very complicated to recognise which is which. This is pretty good info..
