French President pardons woman who murdered her violent, incestuous husband

Rightly so too.
The law over there, as here, is an ass when it can convict a woman under those circumstances.
Absolutely disgraceful. I don't know if they have a jury system in France, but if I was on a jury over here it would be a not guilty plea from me even if the judge directed me differently.
Not only was the woman battered and raped over decades, but the scumbag raped his own daughters.
The son committed suicide which preceded the scumbag being extinguished the following day.
Everything is black and white in these cases.
No place for humanity.
Lets hope the lady concerned can live a peaceful and happy life from now on.

Do they still have the crime of passion in France? Whatever that poor woman must have suffered a life of hell. I hope she can find some peace and happiness now.

So murder is OK now is it? Isn't incest and violence illegal in France? You have to wonder why we bother with law and order at all.

The law is inadequate in these cases. If the woman had killed him to stop him abusing her and raping her daughters, she would probably have been convicted. It's time abusers were taken for the animals they are and treated accordingly.
